The Road to OCM Royalty

OCM Holder Roles
The OCM ecosystem is made up of various holder roles depending on number of assets held across all digital wallets. Each role is uniquely assigned via Discord upon entering and also throughout your tenure as a member.
The following chart from the OCM Wiki lists out the holder roles for both Genesis holdings and Karma holdings:
Oftentimes, new members start off with either the BTC OnChainMonkey role or the Karma Monkey role. Each role is also assigned a specific color such as light blue, green, gold, etc.
What does hitting Royalty mean?
Hitting Royalty means that an OCM holder has managed to acquire and hold a minimum of 20 monkeys either from the Genesis collection or from the Karma collection.
I’ve had the goal of hitting this milestone for months, and today is the day that I hit Karma Royalty. I now have access to the Royalty Chat and Royalty Support channels in Discord that did not display previously.
OCM Royalty is full of members who are filled with passion, drive, and hope in a brighter future with OCM, Bitcoin, and simply life in general. Hitting Royalty also takes holders one step closer to the Metagood team on live Royalty calls in order to speak, listen, and ask pertinent questions.
Driven towards a goal
The road to OCM Royalty involved continual acts of dedication and commitment driven by my conviction. I am 100% convinced that OnChainMonkey holders who are looking long-term will succeed at the highest levels within the Web3 space.
The desire to reach Royalty began all the way back in February 2023 when I purchased my first Karma. I got started in this community a year and a half after the Genesis mint, and less than a year since the Karma mint. Back then, I knew that OCM was the place I wanted to plant my feet and continually grow both personally and professionally.
I kept checking in on Karma monkeys that were being listed on OnChainMonkey.com, then would pick up 1 or 2 at a time when I had the funds to do so. Royalty did not happen overnight, yet instead took months upon months of picking up Karma monkeys I related to and truly enjoyed the artistic nature of.
What does Royalty prove?
It proves nothing really. Royalty doesn’t make myself or another member better than somebody else. What Royalty actually proves is extreme dedication to the success of OCM and Bitcoin long-term.
Hitting Royalty status does not place us on a pedestal of some kind. On the contrary, it provides yet another avenue to inspire and encourage those who either desire to reach this level or to achieve various dreams they have. It’s about setting an example for someone to look to as they progress down the road of success.
What advice do I have to share?
My best advice is to be a contributor within the OCM ecosystem. Be an encourager, a mentor, a helping hand in times of need.
For those just getting started in OCM and are looking to reach Royalty… stay close to the community, take continual action, and keep learning as much as you can.
OCM has some of the brightest minds in the entire space. It is best to stay plugged in to what Danny and the team are building in terms of technological innovation and long-term vision.
Plans for the future
I plan on continuing to build out OCM Magazine with the intention of shining more light onto the monkeyverse and how beneficial it is to be a member. Despite having a full time job and a family of 6, I do not want to fade the undeniable value being built on top of Bitcoin.
As more attention is being put on the security and immutability of Bitcoin, artists will start to realize the power of placing their work onto this medium. In fact, that is happening as we speak.

Look for an up-and-coming series on Bitcoin Ordinals, distributed via OCM Magazine. The more people that can grasp the complexities of this technology, the more comfortable and well-educated they will feel prior to entering the ecosystem. Stay tuned for more updates moving forward.
