NFT Canvases - Full Interview

Another great conversation was held surrounding a popular print team within the NFT space. Some people are remembered for talking the talk, while others for walking the walk. Please welcome none other than the rock stars behind NFT Canvases who are walking the walk, James and Phil.

Phil was having audio issues and did not speak during the conversation but was present for moral support. James Fink @art_snitch happily spoke with us to describe a bit about his background, how NFT Canvases got started, and the incredible work they are producing for not just OnChainMonkey, but NFT communities around the globe.

On-Camera Video Conversation with James and J25

James Fink’s Background

J25 and I had an invigorating conversation with James who worked in radio and television for 15 years based in Los Angeles. He ended up starting his own boutique ad agency building websites and running digital ads for various companies. Fine art photography was and is a passion of his, where he proudly displays his art at various galleries and shows. When the pandemic struck, he found himself meeting with Clubhouse which then led into learning all about the NFT space.

Once James learned what NFT technology was at a core level, he began putting his photography out as NFTs. He then began working with other projects in the space such as On1Force, Kindred Hearts, and Drivers where he eventually met Phil who was working on physical prints at the time.

“Phil just really impressed me with the product, which, you know, I know a lot of your holders have been impressed with the product.”

James and Phil worked together with On1Force and created some prints for people at the NFT LA event. James eventually ended up coming on board to NFT Canvases with Phil, founder of the popular print company.

NFT Canvases

What exactly is NFT Canvases? They are a physical print business that specializes in creating unique, verified, tech-driven, NFT prints to be displayed either in the home, art galleries, or anywhere in-between.

James made it clear that you can take a PFP (profile pic) and get it printed at a local print shop, but there is no real set of quality control. On the other hand, NFT Canvases is all about printing high quality work. Each print from NFT Canvases not only consists of the utmost quality, but also high-end technology with NFC capabilities.

With NFC in place, when a print owner puts their phone over the NFT Canvases logo of the print, it will automatically open up a link to prove that it’s their PFP on the blockchain. If they happen to sell that PFP and it leaves that wallet, the phone will display non-ownership of that NFT.

What’s interesting is that NFT Canvases is offering new and innovative methods of creating masterpieces. For example, you can have your NFT printed on bulletproof glass, or even set up lighting behind your print so that it shines through in a dark room.

“In fact, there's a Spirit Azuki holder who got one of his PFPs printed and it lights up blue behind it”

In addition, if someone buys a framed print, the box that it ships in will possess a unique opening experience, almost like you are opening an Apple product for the first time. NFT Canvases is also innovating in terms of offering gold leaf plating to their prints alongside talented artist, St. Henry.

James and Phil are excited for the future as they navigate the NFT waters and pioneer new and creative ways to bring value to the overarching Web3 community.
