A Monkey Minute with OCMoe
GM Monkey fam, Today, we're catching up with none other than OCMoe, who snagged third place in the April OCM DAO Community Incentive Program.
If you've been hanging around the OnChainMonkey community, you've probably seen OCMoe's name pop up quite a bit.
They're all about spreading positivity, engaging with everyone, and embodying those !RISE values.
So, let's dive in and hear from OCMoe themselves about their journey with OCM and what drives him to be contributing in such a strong way.
“As one of only two repeat winners for both March and April, Congratulations on being recognized once again for your enthusiastic engagement within the OCM community! What initially drew you to OCM, and how has your involvement evolved over time?”
OCMoe:
I was somewhat new to the space, I had no clue what OCM was, I thought it was just a regular project where I buy and it disappears, it was a free mint so no hopes were had.
I bought a day or 2 after the free mint, I had to sell my Genesis to get my car out the tow yard, yeah. Sucks. But I came back with a Karma 6-7 months later and I’ve had a much better experience than I did initially.
Likely because I came back once the project was more established (desserts, karma, OCM bots, missions.) I have no idea when my involvement evolved over time, I just grew a large passion for the project after being in it for so long, and especially after being “stripped” away from it.
“Being a consistent voice within the community is no small feat. What drives you to maintain such a positive and uplifting presence, and how do you keep the vibes high even during some of the more challenging times?"
OCMoe:
What drives me is my pfp, my OCM family I talk to on the daily, and the vision OCM has. I don’t like to spend negative energy so I just don’t speak it. And if I do, I try my best to let it shed in a positive light. I think the main reason is because I’m aware that OCM is built to last.
“You've been praised for sharing OCM far and wide. Can you tell us about a particularly memorable experience you've had while spreading the word about OCM to others?”
OCMoe:
I’ve been in this group chat with friends for the last 2 or so years and I’ve always told them about OCM, had agreements and disagreements. But in the end, a majority of the group chat now has an OCM!
“Community engagement is essential for the success of any project. How do you approach fostering meaningful connections and interactions within the OCM community, both online and offline?”
OCMoe:
I like to do good things and having OCM be the face of it. This way it’s not a selfish benefit, but a meaningful contribution. For both, OCM and the connection I’ve made.
“Looking ahead, what are some goals or initiatives you'd like to see the OCM community focus on, and how do you plan to contribute to making those aspirations a reality?”
OCMoe:
I’d like to see the OCM Community focus on doing good things! Whether it’s content creating, strategic planning, or collective contribution. I plan on making those aspirations a reality by engaging with, and being another voice!
